A customer from Modena sent us a photo of a set from a well-known television series, asking us to adjust the sofa’s proportions and the shape of its legs.
How much does a custom-made sofa cost?
The price of a made-to-measure sofa depends on several factors:
- Upholstery: prices vary by material category. A made-to-measure sofa in genuine leather costs more than one in fabric.
- Size: the sofa’s dimensions have the greatest effect on the quotation.
- Leg style: steel legs cost more than standard wooden legs.
- Upholstery detailing: a fully button-tufted sofa takes longer to make than one with a plain finish.
- Additional details (Swarovski buttons, reclining or sofa bed mechanisms, and other options)

Can VAMA Divani make a horseshoe-shaped sofa? Yes! The made-to-measure Chesterfield in this photo was built to dimensions sent online by a customer in Emilia Romagna.

A large living room calls for a large sofa. We made this four-seater leather sofa to measure for a customer in Milan.

A customer in Naples commissioned this compact sofa bed without arms to fit a space with very specific dimensions.

Sofa for a yacht
VAMA Divani also makes marine upholstery. For this yacht project, the architect sent us the wooden frame. We created a button-tufted leather backrest and removable cushions that covered the storage compartment beneath. The finished piece was shipped to the port of Barcelona, where the yacht was moored.
Pouffe for a shop
Personalised embroidery is also available. We made this bespoke pouffe for a Graziella Braccialini store, with the brand’s logo embroidered in the centre.
Custom Sofa for Hotel
A circular sofa, or upholstered bench, made for a hotel in the province of Arezzo. The customer supplied the frame and fabric; we added the padding and upholstered it.

This circular sofa was made entirely to a bespoke design for an optician’s shop in the province of Lucca.
