DubTex combines a polyester weave with a water-repellent treatment. The treatment concerns the fabric surface; it does not make a complete sofa or chair waterproof or remove the need to follow the instructions for spills and cleaning.
Surface, colour and suitability
The supplied specification gives a weight of 370 g/m², a width of 140 cm and abrasion resistance above 100,000 cycles. These are material measurements rather than a guarantee of a particular lifespan in every setting.
The stated care method allows washing up to 30°C and low-temperature ironing, with no bleaching, dry cleaning or tumble drying. Confirm that the furniture cover is removable before washing it, and follow the finished-cover instructions as well.
Water repellency and abrasion testing describe different properties of DubTex. Neither turns the whole piece of furniture into an outdoor or waterproof product; confirm the intended use and current fabric specification with VAMA.
