Focus is a plain-weave fabric made from 60% flame-retardant polyester and 40% polyester. Its straightforward woven surface can be compared with pile fabrics when choosing how much texture the upholstery should contribute to the room.
Surface, colour and suitability
The supplied specification lists Class 1 fire reaction. The applicable test standard and current documentation must be checked for a project with fire requirements; the label alone does not establish compliance with every country’s furniture rules.
Colour and weave should be assessed on a sample alongside the intended furniture finish. The completed cover’s construction and the upholstery beneath it remain separate from the fabric composition and any test classification.
A fabric-level fire classification and the compliance of a finished upholstered item are not automatically the same thing. Where documentation is needed, identify the article, intended use and applicable standard with VAMA. The plain weave and colour can then be chosen alongside the verified specification rather than used as evidence of a particular rating.
