A rounded back for an open seating layout
The rear view shows the rounded upper roll above a smoother upholstered back. This matters when the chair stands away from the wall: the design can be assessed from the room entrance or beside a sofa, not only from the front.
Hand-worked diamond buttoning
Across the inside back, the leather is drawn into individual diamond folds and secured with covered buttons. The seat cushion remains smooth, creating a clear difference between the sitting surface and the more structured upholstery around it.
Pleated rolls and piped arm fronts
The arm fronts finish in rounded scrolls with hand-shaped pleats and a piped outline. These folds follow the curve of each arm, giving the red leather depth through workmanship rather than through a printed or artificially embossed tufting pattern.

Beneath the upholstery, VAMA’s traditional Chesterfield construction uses solid fir and beech, shaped polyurethane padding and high-strength elastic seat webbing.
