Iena Fine-Grain Upholstery Leather – CAT. E

Iena is a soft, fine-grain upholstery leather with an understated natural appearance, letting the colour and contours of a sofa or armchair remain prominent.

Iena offers a fine natural-grain appearance with a soft handle. Its relatively understated surface is useful when you want the furniture’s shape and upholstery colour to remain more prominent than a coarse embossed texture.

Surface, colour and suitability

The approximate 1.0 mm thickness describes the leather itself. The feel of a completed seat also depends on padding and cushion construction, so a soft leather sample should not be used as a substitute for choosing the furniture’s comfort specification.

Compare Iena in daylight and under the lighting where the piece will stand, particularly when choosing between nearby whites, browns or reds. On a buttoned model, the same colour appears across smooth panels and deeper shaded folds.

Fine grain describes Iena’s visible texture and should not be confused with a blanket full-grain classification for every leather article. The category E label is VAMA’s upholstery price grouping, rather than an independent rating of durability or a substitute for the material specification. Choose by article, colour and suitability together.
