Wave takes its identity from the curved upper line of the headboard. Buttoning gives depth to the upholstered surface beneath it, creating a traditional focal point through the covering itself rather than through carved wood.
Design, proportions and details
The shaped outline needs to be considered when positioning wall lights or pictures above the bed. Measure the full headboard and padded frame separately from the sleeping area to leave appropriate space for bedside furniture.
The base can be configured for fixed or compatible storage use. VAMA’s storage construction places a lifting slatted platform above a finished compartment, with the selected rail profile and feet affecting the height of the completed bed.
Wave’s curving top can sit differently against a wall depending on the bed’s finished height. Compare the base, feet and mattress together before choosing the position of pictures or lights above it. The outside width of the headboard remains a separate measurement from the padded frame surrounding the sleeping platform.
Wave uses a central rise and fall in the headboard to create a classic silhouette, while its squared buttoning gives the upholstery a more ordered, transitional look. It can be configured with or without integrated storage.
The headboard height changes across the curve, so the stated minimum and maximum values describe the lowest and highest points of the wave.
