The standard footprint is 60 x 60 cm and the height is 45 cm. Compare that height with the chair’s seat and allow room to move between the two when positioning the footstool for everyday use.
The metal frame determines the proportions of the piece. Upholstery changes affect the surface colour and texture, while the structure remains a distinct part of the design; a softer-looking covering does not change its fixed geometry.
A matching frame does not mean the footstool should touch the chair. Leave a comfortable separation and confirm the top height relative to the Barcelona seat when planning the pair’s position.
