Chester Old separates a richly upholstered top from a more visible wooden base. The raised feet distinguish it from lower, fully enclosed Chesterfield footstools and give the piece a different relationship to the floor.

Design, proportions and details
The standard top occupies 55 x 55 cm. Compare the complete height with the seat it will accompany, and check the space between the footstool and chair so that both foot support and access work comfortably.
The buttoning is shaped across the padded surface. The wooden feet remain a prominent finishing element beneath it, so their colour can be used to connect with an armchair’s legs or a nearby table.
Chester Old’s feet make the height decision more visible than on an enclosed ottoman. If the piece accompanies a chair on tall legs, compare the two finished seat levels as well as the wood colour. A buttoned top provides upholstered foot support, while its textured surface should not be mistaken for a level tabletop.
Chester Old is a lighter interpretation of the traditional Chesterfield footstool. The deep-buttoned top is raised on tall decorative wooden feet, while the base can be finished more simply than the fully buttoned Chesterfield version.
The model can be customised in dimensions and decorative details. Its taller feet visually separate the upholstered body from the floor and make it particularly suitable next to classic armchairs with exposed wooden legs.
