Design, proportions and details
The straightforward outline makes it easy to compare with existing bedside furniture, but the padded frame still extends beyond the mattress. Use the outside dimensions for room planning and the sleeping dimensions when selecting the mattress and bedding.
A fixed base and a storage base use different internal construction. The storage version combines a finished compartment with a lifting slatted platform; its height and opening requirements should be considered before deciding how close the bed sits to other furniture.
The absence of decorative wings makes Simple’s proportions especially visible. Rail thickness, feet and the amount of headboard above the mattress all contribute to the final outline. VAMA’s flat and domed frame profiles add different allowances to the sleeping dimensions, so confirm the complete footprint for your chosen version instead of transferring measurements from a photograph of another bed in the range.
Simple is the most restrained design in the collection: a broad straight headboard, slim profile and compact overall footprint. It works particularly well in small bedrooms where a clean upholstered bed is preferred without decorative stitching.
