Charlemagne makes its carved wooden frame an integral part of the design. The upholstery sits within the visible surround, giving the sofa a traditional, decorative character that differs from a fully padded or skirted model.

Design, proportions and details
The listed frame sizes include a chair and two sofa widths. These are defined structures, so choosing a size means selecting the appropriate frame rather than assuming that every measurement can be adjusted freely.
Wood treatment and upholstery can work in contrast or close coordination. The high back makes the covering visible above the seat, while the carved arms and base remain part of the room’s composition from several viewing angles.
Charlemagne’s frame sizes define the starting point for the upholstery. Select the appropriate wooden structure first, then coordinate the covering and decorative treatment, keeping any proposed structural change separate from normal finish choices.
The Charlemagne is a classic sofa with a carved solid-wood frame, exposed painted sections and high feet integrated into the frame design. Its high back includes lumbar support and gives the model an upright, traditional profile.
Important: this model is available only in the standard sizes below. Because its carved wooden frames are produced to fixed specifications, the Charlemagne cannot be made to measure.
