Winchester changes the Chesterfield’s profile through outward-flaring arms and a smooth lower front. The raised legs leave space visible beneath the sofa, giving it a different visual weight from a low model with a buttoned base.
Design, proportions and details
The 12 cm wooden legs are a defining part of that outline. Consider their finish together with the upholstery, especially where the sofa sits on a contrasting floor or alongside tables with visible wooden frames.
The buttoned back retains the hand-worked texture associated with Chesterfield seating. Beneath it, the timber structure and shaped padding support the upholstered form, while the smooth lower band keeps the front from appearing uniformly tufted.
The smooth lower band and high feet give Winchester a different front view from a fully buttoned base. Compare the complete outline before choosing the leather colour.
