Sherlock uses a tall winged back to create a distinct reading-chair silhouette. The buttoned upholstery gives depth to the upper section, while the visible legs keep the chair raised above the floor rather than closing the base completely.
Design, proportions and details
The chair is 90 cm wide, 92 cm deep and 112 cm high. Its seat is 52 cm wide, 54 cm deep and 44 cm high, offering more useful information about the sitting position than the external measurements alone.
A matching footstool is available separately. Compare its height and placement with the chair’s seat before planning the reading corner, leaving room for a lamp, side table and access around the extended foot support.
Sherlock’s 54 cm seat depth and 44 cm seat height are useful when selecting the separate matching footstool. The external 92 cm depth includes the back and upholstered structure, so it should not be used as the measure of the sitting surface. Plan a reading arrangement with the footstool, lamp and side table together, leaving a clear approach to the seat.
