Design, proportions and details
Allow wall space for the full surround, not just the width of the mattress or rails. The headboard can extend beyond the bed frame, which matters when positioning bedside tables, switches or fitted storage.
The chosen base determines the bed’s practical arrangement below the headboard. A compatible storage version introduces a lifting slatted platform over a finished compartment, while rail padding and feet affect the final external size and height.
Luisa’s wider surround can meet bedside furniture before the lower frame does. Check the headboard span at the wall and the padded rails at floor level separately, especially in a bedroom with built-in units. The chosen mattress and base height also determine how much of the stitched centre remains visible above the bedding.
