We were able to get a standard 18 cm high mattress to fit on the pull-out frame. This makes the second bed not just an “emergency bed” in case of need, but a real bed to be used every day.

Both the sommier bed and the second pull-out bed have the same height from the floor, so they can be placed side by side to create a double bed or two single beds of the same size.
