Elisabetta brings woodwork and upholstery together around the headboard. Its decorative surround forms a visible border around the buttoned centre, giving the bed a more architectural presence than a fully fabric-covered design.
Design, proportions and details
The headboard stands 140 cm high and extends beyond the bed-frame footprint. Allow for that wider outline when positioning bedside tables or wall lights: the mattress size alone does not describe the space this bed occupies against the wall.
A non-storage base uses VAMA’s standard solid-fir construction; the storage alternative uses finished poplar plywood around the compartment. The base choice affects height and operation independently of the decorative headboard, so decide on both before finalising the proportions.
The illustrated 170 x 200 cm sleeping platform sits within a larger 182 x 219 cm bed frame. That frame measurement still excludes the extra width of the decorative headboard. Keeping those three measurements separate helps avoid a common planning mistake: checking the mattress and base, but leaving too little wall space for the carved surround and bedside furniture.
Elisabetta combines a buttoned upholstered headboard with a decorative solid-wood surround. The wooden frame can be finished in different decorative techniques, while the bed itself is produced to order with configurable dimensions, storage base, feet and frame profile.
