Capri extends the Chesterfield vocabulary upwards through a winged, buttoned back. The side wings and curled arms create a more enclosed outline than a low club chair, making it a distinct focal point beside a fireplace or in a reading area.
Design, proportions and details
The standard chair is 86 cm wide and deep, with a 106 cm height. Compare the overall back height with nearby furniture, but also consider the seat position: a taller exterior does not by itself describe the height or depth of the cushion.
Hand-worked folds shape the tufted back over its padded structure. The timber frame supports the wings and arms, allowing the upholstery to follow their curved profile. The covering can make that outline feel either more formal or softer in the room.
The wings and high back create Capri’s enclosing shape, but they do not establish a universal sitting preference. Compare the actual cushion height and depth with a familiar chair if possible. When adding a footstool, plan its distance and height with the seat rather than selecting it only because the upholstery colour matches the wing chair.
