The standard length is 178 cm. When planning its position, consider where the single arm will sit and which side remains open for access. A front-view drawing is the clearest way to agree the left- or right-hand orientation before upholstery begins.
The long outline is supported by a timber structure, with shaped padding and hand-worked capitonné around the back. Trim, buttons and feet have a strong visual effect because the asymmetrical form draws attention to its individual details.
The open side determines how the chaise is approached. Consider whether the arm should face a wall or the rest of the seating group, then confirm that orientation in relation to the room entrance.
